Objectives: The aim of the study was to investigate the bioactive properties of three seaweed samples, Enteromorpha antenna, Enteromorpha linza and Gracilaria corticata were collected from the shoreline of Mahabalipuram, Tamilnadu. The fuel characteristics of two typical seaweeds (Enteromorpha clathrata and Sargassum natans) were studied. It was found that both the contents of volatile and ash are high, and the ash melting characteristics were different.
